These are some of the reasons why:

- All year round tourism with great conditions for sailing, surfing, wind and kite surfing, diving and fishing.
- No jet lag from Europe - Cape Verde is 1 hour behind GMT.
- The government is implementing a plan to develop a thriving tourist industry as this has been identified as a huge growth area.
- Set to become at least as popular as the Canary Islands.
- All property priced in Euros.
- Exchange rate of the Cape Verde Escudo fixed to the Euro.
